Job Utsav draws huge crowds


The Job Utsav organised as part of the Bidar Utsav witnessed a huge response on Thursday.
Over 3,000 youth registered their names. Human Resource managers of 33 companies issued offer letters to 260 persons on the first day of the utsav.
Another 480 persons have been shortlisted, according to coordinator D.B. Rukmangada, who spoke to press persons.
Companies such as NIIT, Café Coffee Day, Navata Transport, First Source, AB Power System, Alicon, Jibel, Nav Bharat Enterprises, Himmat Singha Lines, IFBI, Gemini Graphics, Fibrosis Tech, Bharati Plaza, G-4 Securities, Apollo Systems, Piaggio, Fresh World, Sri Sai Enterprises, participated in the utsav.
The district administration will organise a training camp for the youth to increase their employability quotient, Deputy Commissioner P.C. Jaffer said during the inauguration.
The Deputy Commissioner said resource persons would train youth in writing resumes, applications and facing interviews.
Zilla panchayat Chief Executive Officer Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh was present.
The Job Utsav, organised by the district administration on Thursday and Friday as part of the ongoing Bidar Utsav, evoked good response from youth.
Of the 4,500 candidates registered for the job fair, 714 received offer letters. Another 350 were selected for training by various companies, D.B. Rukmangada, the utsav coordinator, told presspersons here on Friday.

Thirty-seven companies had set up stalls on the first day, and 25 on the second day, according to a press release issued by the district administration here on Friday.
