A Mahila Utsav will be organised as part of the Bidar Utsav here on
January 29 and 30.
It would be launched with a mini-marathon for women at 7 a.m. on
January 29. A portion of the heritage walk from Choubara to the Fort gate has
been chosen as the marathon route. Competitions like Rangoli, Mehendi and
painting would be held at Jhira Function Hall at 9 a.m.
Vegetable carving, fruit decoration, pick and speak, debate on women’s
empowerment, jhatpat cooking and other events would be held at 3 p.m.
On January 30, sports events, including cricket, throw ball, musical
chair, pot- breaking, stringing thermocol beads, jilebi and rope, lemon-spoon
race and others would be held at the National College Grounds from 8 a.m. Fancy
Dress, solo dance, group dance and others would be held at 3 p.m. Prize
distribution and valedictory will be held in the evening.
Spot registration could also be done at the Jhira Function Hall on
January 29 morning, according to a press release issued here on Tuesday.
