SPECIAL SCHOOL CHILDREN SHINE AT BIDAR UTSAV


Students of special schools enthusiastically participated in various sports events organised as part of Bidar Utsav on Wednesday. Events like tricycle race, running race and one-legged race were held for students with different types of disabilities.
Deputy Commissioner P.C. Jaffer and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh took part in the events to express solidarity. Later, they distributed prizes to the winners.
Dr. P.C. Jaffer said that special seating arrangements would be made for the physically challenged. The winners of the events are: Basavaraj, Ramesh Rathod and Santosh Bhalke in special motor vehicle race; Rizwana Fatru, Meena Shravan and Renuka Bavuge in tricycle race for girls; Vaijanth Chimkod, Fakruddin Sultan, Basavaraj Navadgeri in 400 metres tricycle race for boys; Imran, Sunil, Vithal, Arun, Anil, Pentareddy, Sachin, Roopa, Anita, Nagamma, Ramalinga, Prabhakar, Mahadev, Pavitra, Pradeep and Mahesh won various running race events. Savita, Renuka and Pooja were winners of the running race for children under 14 years of age.

Munawwar Daula, assistant director, Youth Services and Sports, and Bansi Pawar, assistant director, Senior Citizens and Disabled Welfare, were present.
